DUES NOTICE
It's that time of year again! Your 2006-2007 dues cover your membership from August 1, 2006 until September 30, 2007. Please fill out the membership/renewal form on the membership page and mail it and your dues to our Treasurer, Richard Hamann. Please remember, our association can only survive and carry on the traditions of the US Navy and the USS Guam if you continue to support the organization.

Important information from the 2006 reunion held in Seattle
As you all know, the 2006 reunion was held in Seattle this past August. Since we are now incorporated, at the reunion the membership voted on a new Constitution for the association. If any member wishes to receive a copy of the new Constitution, please contact the Secretary and it will be sent out. If you want it emailed we will do so-just confirm your email address. If you want it mailed, there will be a small charge for printing and mailing ($3.00). Please make checks payable to USS Guam LPH-9 Assn., Inc. In addition, any member may request a copy of the full Association roster where we have the names, addresses, and email addresses for approximately 670 formers shipmates. Email is free, mailed is $4.00. Please contact the Secretary (see home page for mailing information).

Website
Thank you for visiting our website, as you may have noticed we have made many changes. We hope the website is easier to read and more user friendly. We encourage you to leave a message in the guest book. Our stories/pics page will be up soon, if you have pictures of your time on the Guam, email them to our webmaster. We are also looking for pictures from past reunions. Because this website belongs to the USS Guam LPH-9 Assn, Inc, we would like your help to make it great!

President's Message
Hello fellow shipmates! It's been a couple of months now since the USS Guam LPH-9 reunion in Seattle, WA. I hope that everyone who attended had a great time. I would like to thank Marie and Rich Hamann for putting together a well planned and well thought out reunion. Good job, well done! I would also like to thank our new shipmates, wives, and grandchildren for attending the reunion. It's always great to see new faces as well as the old die-hards. Now that the Seattle reunion has come and gone it is time to start looking to the future for next year's reunion in Atlantic City, NJ. Buck Buchanan is our committee chairman for next year's reunion and he has picked out the Fairfield Inn in Absecon, NJ (suburb of Atlantic City) with tentative dates of July 30, 2007 (Monday) to August 3, 2007 (Friday). Room rates will be $85.00 per night + tax. More details to come later. As a reminder, membership dues are now due for 2007 so make sure you get your money sent to our Treasurer, Richard Hamann so he can update our paid roster. We are also trying to get DVDs made of the Guam Decommissioning ceremony for those that are paid-up members. One more thing. Jim Webb is our committee chairman for the 2008 reunion in Corus Christi, TX and he has already been busy checking out hotels and he should have a tentative plan ready for us in Atlantic City. Well shipmates, I'll be looking forward to seeing all of you in Atlantic City so please stay healthy and best wishes. Your USS Guam LPH-9 President, Frank Walker.
